Format and teams After two seasons in bio-bubble and COVID-19 restrictions, the league this year will be conducted as per the traditional home and away format. There will be no restrictions of bio-bubble and the teams are free to move around. Total 12 teams from across the country will take part in the 16th edition of the I-League. The teams which are competing in the I-League this year are – Aizawl FC, Churchill Brothers, Gokulam Kerala, Kenkre FC, NEROCA, Mohammedan SC, RoundGlass Punjab, Sreenidi Deccan, Real Kashmir, TRAU and Sudeva Delhi. Indian Arrows will not play in this tournament as this developmental team run by AIFF ( All India Football Federation) got disbanded earlier this year.

The I-League 2022-23 season consists of 20 match days. It will conclude on 2nd March and in the last match, TRAU will take on Gokulam Kerala.
